Meet Process
For setting up the meet, first enter the TEAM and
the TEAMNAME. Make sure you get the team name right because you don't want to
change it after you start doing meets. Then, you first need to enter your
members (names, ages, birthdates, etc...) making sure you get the ages and the
sex right. Next, go to the EVENTS and setup all your events starting with 001
for the first event and going to the last event of a meet.
Now, your almost set. Just do the REBUILD
BESTTIMES and then look at the BESTTIMES and you'll see a large set of your
membership with one row for each member for each event they are entered. This
will end up matching the deck cards and the ribbon labels later.
Now, setup a MEET and the SELECT the meet then go
to the MEET | CREATE RESULTS. This will create the records needed for
creating the DECK CARDS. So, next go to the next selection SEED MEET (if you
want the software to put the heat and lane in the deck card), then PRINT DECK
CARDS and you''ll have these. Then after the meet you enter the RESULTS and
the PRINT RIBBONS.
Now your ready for the next meet and start over
again with the previous paragraph. I would play with the SAMPLE.MDB file
until you get the hang of the loop. Just remember that the EVENTS are merged
with the MEMBERS to create the BESTTIMES. The BESTTIMES are merged with the
MEET to create the RESULTS that is used for creating the DECK CARDS that is
used to enter the RESULTS. Then you print the LABELS from the RESULTS and
UPDATE the TIMES you entered into the RESULTS back into the BESTTIMES.
