Create Meet EntriesCreating the entries can be either by manually dragging each swimmer into events or by automatically creating the entries based on which swimmers are qualified for the events. The dialog shown above is used for creating the entries manually. You would first have created a set of events that are graphically reflected in the right frame. The left frame of the dialog is a representation of the swimmers roster. Buttons
Tree Context MenusContext menus are accessed by using the mouse and selecting nodes in the right side containing the entries. Click the left mouse button and you will see these menus appear where the mouse cursor is located. If some of the selections are disabled (light gray) they are not valid for the node selected.
Drag and DropYou have a few choices when you create entries. 1) You can press the Create button and let WinSwim create entries for all the active swimmers into all events that they are qualified to participate. Then, you can use the tree control (the one on the right) to delete entries, create heats and drag and drop members into the different heats. 2). You can drag and drop swimmers from the left tree control representing the roster into each of the events. 3). By holding down the CTRL key you can drag swimmers of different ages into any of the age groups for swimmers that need to age up or down for an event. Other InformationThe entries contains a Notes field that can be viewed from the Entries Explorer. If you don't see the Notes field you can make it and many other fields viewable from the Options Entries tab. The Notes field will show up on the deck cards when printed. So, you can add information, as an example, the order of relay teams or any other information you want to be present on the deck cards. |
