Meet Characteristics Tables

This tables can be changed before setting up your first meet.  Afterward, it's not advisable to change these values as existing meet results will not be updated to reflect the new values.  Use caution when changing these tables after starting the season.

AgeGroup

The AgeGroup is specified within the events table and in the Best Times within WinSwim.  You should get this table right before you create entries.

AltitudeAdjustment

Altitude adjustment is used when updating the best times.

This adjustment is controlled by a flag within the Edit | Options Conversion tab.  When times are updated for best times, an altitude adjustment can be made to add additional seconds to the stored seed times.

Conversion

Conversion adjustment is used when updating the best times.

This adjustment is controlled by a flag within the Edit | Options Conversion tab.  When times are updated for best times, an conversion adjustment can be made to add additional seconds to the stored seed times.

This is used for converting from Yard to Meter times.  The calculation is :

(<meter time> / <factor) + <seconds> = yard time

(<yard time> - <seconds>) / <factor> = meter time

Distance

This is the distances that are valid used for creating events.

Points

This is the points assigned for scoring meets.  The <Points> are selected by the <Lanes>, <Session> and <Eventtype> for the event.

The <Points> for set as "9,7,6,5,4,3,2,1" would mean that 9 would be added for 1st place, 7 for 2nd place and so on.

Lanes can be excluded from accumulating points by including these in the "ExcludeLanes".

Sessions

This contains the brackets used for events.  The Session and Bracket are user defined.  The CTSKey is used for interfacing to the Colorado Timing console and should match the key on the timing console.  The AddPoints determines of team points can be accumulated for events in this bracket.

Strokes

This is how the strokes are specified for setting up the events.  The name of the stroke and the different strokes can be changed by adding and changing this table.

Use extreme caution when changing this table after the season has started.

TimeClass

This is the time class used for setting up the times.  The <timeclass> is used within the Times table (see below) to specify the time class associated with the qualifying time.

Use extreme caution when changing this table after the season has started.

Times

This table contains the qualifying times used for automatic entry qualification if specified in the automatic meet entries.
