Championship Meet Activities

The purpose of this section is to describe the activities for hosting a dual meet. This is a meet where a hosting team will have another teams participate in a joint meet.

Note: Both teams use Winswim and the events tables are the same.

Guest Team

The guest team would be providing an ASCII text file containing the information describing each swimmer for each event. The guest team would use the "File | Export..." feature to export out the "MembersBest". After exporting out the ASCII text file, this information is provided to the host team.

Host Team

The host team is responsible for importing in the guest team information, seeding the meet, printing deck cards, capturing results and printing the ribbon labels. All this can be accomplished by importing and merging in the guest team information when using the "Meet | Create results" dialog and checking the "Import guest teams..." check box.

Note: Don't do this action more than once per guest team or you will have duplicated entrys each time. You will have to restore the MembersBest table by entering "File | Rebuild Best Times" if you corrupt the MembersBest table.

After importing in the information from the guest team, you can proceed to seed the meet, print lane slips, results and ribbon labels just like any normal meet.

Note: After the meet is completed you should use the "File | Rebuild Best Times" to reconstruct the MembersBest without the guest team information. If you don't do this, the next meet will have the guest team in your next meet.
